Defender Men Get Regional Invite

The Dordt College Defender men's soccer team earned an invitation to the eight-team, NAIA Region IV soccer tournament with play beginning Tuesday, November 9.

The Defenders will travel to Sioux City to take on conference rival Morningside at 2:00 Tuesday afternoon with the winner advancing to the semifinals on Friday.

Dordt College is the seventh seed while Morningside is second seeded. The Dordt-Morningside winner will face the #3 Hastings-#6 Northwestern winner. The other pairings have #8 Ottawa (Kansas)traveling to #1 Park (Missouri) while #4 Newman (Kansas) hosts #5 Bellevue (Nebraska).

The semifinals and finals will be played November 12 and 13 at the site of the highest remaining seed after the quarterfinal round. The regional champ automatically qualifies for the NAIA National Tournament.
