Commencement at Dordt College May 7

Dordt College will hold its annual commencement ceremony in the B.J. Haan auditorium on Friday, May 7 at 10:00 a.m.

The 2004 graduating class includes 289 students. Degrees conferred include Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Bachelor of Social Work, and Master of Education degrees. A reception for family and friends will follow in the recreation center. The reception is hosted by the Alumni Association.

Dr. Roger Henderson, assistant professor of philosophy, will present the commencement address, titled “Searching Humility.” Dr. Henderson came to Dordt College in 1999 with a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkley, and a doctorate from the Free University of Amsterdam. He teaches perspectives of philosophy, medieval philosophy, history and systematics of Christian philosophy, and philosophical anthropology.

Seating in the B.J. Haan Auditorium is by ticket only and has been reserved for immediate family members of the graduates. Additional seating, with a live video feed, will be available in the science building (S101 and S108) and the classroom building (C160).
