I have taught psychology at Dordt since 1997 and have also served as an academic dean. I love teaching and working with students to see them grow in knowledge, skills, and wisdom.
Outside of Dordt, I enjoy gardening (even weeding), spending time with my husband and 3 children, reading novels or forensic murder mysteries; doing and jigsaw puzzles; and tackling home remodeling projects. Alternate careers I've considered include: editor, forensic pathologist, surgeon, midwife, professional organizer, and detective. I don't own a TV, but I love watching TV series like Criminal Minds, The Office, CSI, Lost, and Sherlock Holmes (the British version).
