After serving as an adjunct instructor at Dordt for the past six years, I'm excited to join the faculty fulltime this year! I have experience working with learners at every level from Kindergarten through graduate school, though I consider myself a middle school specialist, as I've spent the majority of my career teaching a variety subjects in grades 5-8.
I currently teach EDUC 101: Introduction to Education and EDUC 334: Teaching Science Pre-K through Middle School. I also supervise student teachers and I am one of the faculty supervisors for EDUC 239: Service Learning Field Experience. Additionally, I am an instructor in Dordt's M.Ed. program, where I have taught EDUC 533: Enhancing Learning with Technology and EDUC 522: Constructing Thematic Units.
I'm a curriculum and instruction junkie, and I am intrigued by educational technology. I blog about teaching, learning, technology, students, faith, and school culture at http://iteach-and-ilearn.blogspot.com.
