Dordt College Women's Volleyball vs. Viterbo (Bellevue Classic)

(Bellevue, Nebraska) The Dordt College Defender volleyball team was unable to cool off the red-hot Viterbo (Wisconsin) V-Hawks on Friday afternoon in the Bellevue Bruin Labor Day Classic. The Defenders fought back from a 25-16 loss in set one to win set two 25-22 but the unbeaten team from Lacrosse, Wisconsin won sets three and four by scores of 25-18 and 25-17 to take their seventh win in as many starts.
Dordt was limited to .209 for a kill efficiency while the V-Hawks were good for a .271 efficiency and they had 59 total kills. Viterbo also scored 14 points off of ace serves in the match up of ranked teams.
Dordtís win in set two came with the help of a strong net attack where the Defenders committed just one error on 35 attack attempts.
Brooke Wolterstorff had 11 kills for the Defenders and got to nine digs. Kayla Horstman had eight kills and Elizabeth Kiel seven. Haley Moss put down nine kills and Meghan Krausman led the team with 26 digs. Kayla Bartman was credited with 37 assists and had seven digs.
Viterbo was led Alicia Olsonís 26 kills and her .344 kill efficiency.
Dordt takes a 3-3 record into its matches on Saturday against Baker (Kansas) and Davenport (Michigan).
