Dordt College Women's Volleyball vs. John Brown

(Bellevue, Nebraska) Dordt College bounced back from a loss earlier in the day with a 3-1 win over John Brown (Arkansas) on Friday afternoon at the Bellevue Bruin Labor Day Classic in Bellevue, Nebraska.
Dordt College had a balanced attack with Lindsey Floen, Jenna Horstman and Brooke Wolterstorff all contributing 11 kills and Meghan Krausman added nine.
Dordt won sets one and two 25-22 and 25-19 before John Brown forced a fourth set with a 25-17 win.
Dordt won their fourth match of the season with a 25-21 win in set four to get the split for the day.
Kayla Gesink had 39 assists and 17 digs while Kayla Broekhuis had 23 digs and and ace serve. Wolterstorff also had 13 digs and Krausman 12.
"This was a solid effort in many different aspects and that helped us win the match in four sets," said Dordt College coach Chad Hanson. "Kayla Gesink provided a balanced offensive attack for us with her set distribution. Blocking was sparked by Elizabeth Kiel, Jenna Horstman and Lindsey Floen. Defensively our back court of Kayla, Jocelyn, Siri and Celaine kept us in transition because of excellent digs. Brooke and Meghan continue to be stabilizers for us through every rotation."
Dordt will take a 4-2 record into its match with Ozarks (Missouri) and Mayville State (North Dakota) on Saturday.
