(Bellevue, Nebraska) The Dordt College Defender volleyball team won a grueling 3-2 decision over the Grand View Vikings on Saturday afternoon in the Bellevue Bruin Premier Classic to finish the weekend 1-2.

The scored was tied again at 23 and the Defenders had a chance to win it after Lindsey Moerman registered a kill for a 24-23 lead. Grand View won set two, pulling away from a 16-16 tie for a 25-19 advantage.
Set three was tight the whole way with Dordt taking a 23-19 lead on a Moerman kill. The Vikings fought back for a tie at 24-24 but the Defenders got a kill by Jana Van Zanten followed by a Danae Geels for a 26-24 advantage.
