Dordt College Women's Volleyball vs. Biola-Northwestern Red Raider Classic

(Orange City, Iowa) The Dordt College Defender volleyball team nearly upset Biola (California) on Saturday afternoon in the Defenders' final match of the weekend at the Northwestern Red Raider Classic in Orange City. Dordt led 1-0 and 2-1 in matches before falling 3-2 in a decisive 15-12 set five.

Danae Geels put away 16 kills and Kendra Potgeter had 11 to go with eight assisted blocks and three solo blocks. Dorinda Hibma had a team high 25 digs and Jocelyn Bousema got to 11. Jessica De Stigter assisted on 30 kills and had two service aces.

Dordt is now 2-2 and will play in the University of Sioux Falls Classic on Friday and Saturday, September 3 and 4 in its next outing.
