(Orange City, Iowa) The Dordt College Defender volleyball overpowered Indiana Wesleyan in a rematch of National Tournament first round match last season. Dordt dropped the Wildcats 3-0 for its' third win of the season.

The Defenders won set one 25-17 and pulled away late in set two for a 25-22 win. Set three had the Defenders in front 20-15 only to have the Wildcats come back to tie it at 23-23. Dordt earned the tie-breaking point on a hit by Brittany Landegent (Freshman; Alvord, Iowa) and then won the set and match on the next play with a kill by Betsy Van't Hul (Senior; Rock Valley, Iowa).

Jana Van Zanten (Freshman; Pella, Iowa) put away 14 kills while Landegent and Kendra Potgeter (Junior; Byron Center, Michigan) socked away nine. Dorinda Hibma (Junior; Sioux Center, Iowa) had 14 digs and Jessica De Stigter (Sophomore; Sioux Center, Iowa) accounted for a team high 22 assists.

Wesleyan falls to 1-3 while the Defenders improve to 3-0. Dordt faces Black Hills State at 5:00 Saturday afternoon.
