Dordt College Women's Volleyball vs. Illinois Tech

(Grand Rapids, Michigan) The Dordt College Defender volleyball team completed a 4-0 weekend at the Cornerstone University Classic in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Saturday with a 3-0 win over Illinois Tech. The Defenders were pushed in game one but won 30-24. The Defenders then breezed to wins of 30-16 and 30-15 in games two and three.

Kristin De Ronde concluded a strong weekend with a 14 kill performance while Kendra Potgeter and Larissa Veldhuizen each had eight kills. Dorinda Hibma had four ace serves and 13 digs.

"We have a pretty good serving team this year," said Coach Tom Van Den Bosch. "We had a very good weekend with our serving."

Steph Goslinga had 27 assists in Dordt's eighth win in nine tries.

"We really played well this weekend," said Van Den Bosch.

Dordt will face Dakota Wesleyan in Mitchell, South Dakota on Tuesday of this week. The JV game begins at 6:00 with the varsity to get underway at 7:30. The varsity match will be broadcast on KDCR, 88.5 FM
