Dordt College Women's Volleyball vs. Baker-Baker Tournament

(Baldwin City, Kansas) The Dordt College Defender volleyball team rallied for a thrilling 3-2 match win over Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas Friday night to improve their record to 5-3.

The Defenders took games one and three to take a 2-1 advantage but couldn't close the deal in game four, losing a 30-28 decision, their second two-point loss of the match, they also lost game two 34-32. Trailing 12-9 in game five, the Defenders rallied for a 15-13 decision and evened their record at 1-1 in the tournament hosted by Baker.

Kristin De Ronde had a career high 27 kills while Lindsey Van Wyk did it all with 19 kills and 29 digs. McKinzie Schmidt put down 17 kills and Haylee Bakker followed up a strong match against Evangel with 11 kills.

Traci Kooima dug up 22 kill attempts and Emily Van Voorst had 56 assists.
