Dordt College Women's Volleyball vs. Nebraska Wesleyan

(Sioux Center, Iowa) Playing for the second time in as many nights, Dordt College earned a win over Nebraska Wesleyan in four games(30-19),(28-30),(30-15),(30-23)at the DeWit Gymnasium tonight.
In game one, Dordt jumped to an early lead off of four kills from Kristin De Ronde. After the 17-12 mark, the Defenders went on an 8-point run before sealing the game at 30-19. The Praire Wolves came back in game two, a close game until a time-out at 21-24 in Nebraska Wesleyan's favor. Dordt did manage to bring the score within one at 28-29 but were unable to take the game. Dordt controlled the final two games with good serves and hard hitting. Wesleyan struggled to form any sort of comeback in game three, dropping the game 15-30. Dordt jumped out to an early lead again in game four, making a 5-point run after the 14-8 mark. Trying to use their time-outs as an advantage, Nebraska Wesleyan was unable to bring the game within 5 at the end, the final score 30-23.
De Ronde led all attackers with 20 kills on the night, followed by teammate Lindsey Van Wyk with her 19. Van Wyk also had 29 digs on the night. Emily Van Voorst led with 44 assists with Betsy Van't Hul contributing 23 digs for the Defenders. The Prairie Wolves were led by Brittny Barber and Abby Bade with 17 and 10 kills (unofficial) respectively.
Dordt College has now won 13 out of their last 14 matches and are 23-9 overall and 9-4 in the GPAC while Wesleyan fell to 12-12 overall and 3-9 in the conference.
