Dordt College Women's Volleyball vs. Northwestern

(Rapid City, South Dakota) The Dordt College Lady Defenders advanced to the semifinal round of the NAIA Region III volleyball tournament with a 3-0 win over Northwestern today at Rapid City, South Dakota.
Dordt won game one 30-22 after seeing the game tied seven times, the Lady Defenders pulled away for a 30-22 decision.
Game two was more of the same with the Lady Defenders coming from behind at 22-19 to force a tie at 22. Dordt maintained control until the 29-27 mark when Northwestern broke their service and tied it at 30. The Red Raiders actually served for game point at 31-30 but failed to convert with the Lady Defenders winning game two 33-31 on three straight points.
Game three had 11 ties, the last at 19 when Dordt pulled away for their third 3-0 win over the Red Raiders this season.
Dordt was topped by Tara De Boer's 14 kills while Kristin De Ronde had 12 and Jill Haan 10.
Emily Van Voorst assisted on 45 kills and Haan led the diggers with 17.
