Dordt College Women's Volleyball vs. NAIA National Tournament-Georgetown (Kentucky)

(Point Loma University-San Diego, California) A weary Dordt College volleyball team knocked off Georgetown (Kentucky) this afternoon in pool play at the NAIA National Volleyball tournament by a 3-1 score.

Looking sluggish and out of energy, the Lady Defenders rebounded from an opening game loss of 30-22 to win game two 30-21. The Lady Defenders took a pivotal game three decision, coming from down 29-26 to win 31-29 and won game four, pulling away late for a 30-23 decision.

Dordt was topped by Tara De Boer's 22 kills while Rachel Pontier continued her strong play with 12 kills. Emily Van Voorst put up 32 assists and Halley Van Laningham 15. Jill Haan led Dordt with 13 digs and Traci Kooima also had 13.

Jessica Leanord topped the Tigers with 19 kills.
