(Sioux City, Iowa) The 10th rated Lady Defenders suffered their first conference loss tonight, falling to Briar Cliff 3-1. Carolyn Sybesma had 26 assists and 4 ace serves in the loss while Dre Johnson put down 18 kills. Megan Groeneweg chipped in with four ace serves in an evenly contested match. Game two of the match featured 16 ties and game three had 14 ties. Briar Cliff set the tone for the match coming from down 25-20 to win game one. Dordt drops to 7-1 in GPAC play. This was the first loss for the Lady Defenders in conference play since 2000.
