(Point Loma, California) The going was tough for the Dordt Defenders in volleyball action at the Point Loma Seaside Classic on Saturday, September 10 in San Diego, California.
Dordt lost a 3-0 decision to Concordia 25-15, 26-24 and 25-11.
The Defenders were led at the net by Danae Geels and April Solsma with five kills each. Katelyn Schuller and Lindsey Moerman added four in a match where chances for Dordt were limited. Jocelyn Bousema got 12 digs and Kayla Gesink had nine assists.
Dordt led 13-12 in set two, surrendered the lead, and was never able to recover in dropping the two point set.
Dordt faces Point Loma Nazarene late tonight in the final match of the day.
