(Sioux City, IA) The Dordt College Lady Defender volleyball team turned in a 3-2 non conference match in Wednesday night at the Newman Flanagan Center in Sioux City. Seventh rated Dordt lost a 20-15 lead in game three and Briar Cliff rode the momentum from the game three win to a win in game four. Dordt built a 8-2 lead in game five before winning 15-5 in the decisive game. Dordt was led in a balanced attack by Darci Wassenaar with 20 kills whil AJ Lefever and Rachel Pontier added 16 each. Lacey Jae Huisman added 15 kills while Alisa Kooima put up 62 assists. Lefever also had 2 ace serves and 25 digs.
