Dordt College Volleyball vs. Grand View-Bellevue Classic

(Bellevue, Nebraska) Dordt College went to a fifth set for the second time on Saturday, September 25 at the Bellevue Classic hosted by Bellevue University.

Dordt won set one 26-24 but lost sets two and three by scores of 25-22 and 25-21. Set four was all Dordt at 25-16. Dordt was down 7-2 in set five but drew event at 11-11 on a kills by Kendra Potgeter and pulled even again at 12-12 on another Potgeter kill. Potgeter tied the set again at 13-13 and gave Dordt the lead at 14-13 with her 20th kill of the match. Loy Griess finished the set and match for Dordt with her 12th kill and a 15-13 decision.

Potgeter's 20 kills led all players while Lindsay Moerman had 18. Griess and Geels and 12 and 11 kills respectively.

Dorinda Hibma led all players with 37 digs while Jessica De Stigter had 30 assists and Bekah Posthuma 27.

Dordt is 20-3 while Grand View falls to 17-6. The Defenders will host Mount Marty on Tuesday in Sioux Center, Iowa.
