(Bellevue, Nebraska) Dordt College won their first match of the Bellevue Classic hosted by Bellevue University on Friday, September 24. The Defenders rolled through Friends (Kansas) 25-18, 25-18, 25-20.
Danae Geels led the Dordt attack with 13 kills and Kendra Potgeter had 11. Both Lindsey Moerman and Brittany Landegent put down six kills with Dorinda Hibma getting to 12 digs and she put in six ace serves.
Jessica De Stigter and Bekah Posthuma had 21 and 16 assists respectively for the Defenders who improved to 17-3 this season.
Friends got seven kills from Ciara Lawson and Carrie Kahn. The Falcons fall to 9-6.
Dordt will play three more matches at the event on Friday and Saturday.
