(Sioux Falls, South Dakota (Lincoln High School)) The Dordt College Defenders improved to 2-0 at the Sioux Falls Classic with a 3-0 match win over Mayville State (North Dakota). The Defenders handled set one 25-23 and then won the second and third sets by increasing margins of 25-20 and 25-16.
Danae Geels was tops in kills for Dordt with 13 while Kendra Potgeter put away 11 and was in on four block assists. Jessica De Stigter was good for 20 assists and Bekah Posthuma recorded 13.
Dorinda Hibma led the Dordt defense with 24 digs in the three set match and Brittany Landegent was also in on four block assists.
Dordt is now 4-2 and will play two more matches in the classic format tomorrow at the University of Sioux Falls.
