(Sioux Falls, South Dakota (Lincoln High School)) After a slow start the Dordt College Defender volleyball raced away from the Grand View Vikings 3-1 in non-conference action the University of Sioux Falls Classic on Friday afternoon.
Dordt lost set one 25-23 and then won sets two, three and four by scores of 25-22, 25-20 and 25-18 respectively.
Danae Geels led the Dordt attack with 14 kills and Kendra Potgeter had 12. Jessica De Stigter and Bekah Posthuma split the setting chores with 29 and 18 each. Dorinda Hibma had 30 digs while Kayla Broekhuis and Bekah Posthuma each had two ace serves.
Dordt is 3-2 this season and will play a match with Mayville State later today before meeting Waldorf and Valley City State on Saturday.
