Dordt College Volleyball vs. Graceland-Northwestern Red Raider Classic

(Orange City, Iowa) The Dordt College volleyball took the season opener of the 2010 campaign with a 3-2 squeaker over Graceland (Iowa) at the Northwestern Red Raider Classic in Orange City, Iowa. The Defenders were winners 25-23, 25-22, 29-31, 19-25, 15-10 over the Heart of America Conference member.

Kendra Potgeter paced the Defenders with 15 kills and was in on four blocks. Brittany Landegent had 14 kills and Lindsey Moerman rounded out the double figure kill totals with 11.

Dorinda Hibma got to a team high 33 digs and Jocelyn Bousema had 15. Hibma was also a perfect 25-25 on serve receptions. Jessica De Stigter had 25 assists and Carrie Vande Kamp put up 19. Brandee Zeutenhorst sent in three aces from the service line.

Dordt will face the University of Great Falls (Montana) later this evening. Dordt also plays Indiana Wesleyan and Biola (California).
