Dordt College Volleyball vs. Hannibal LaGrange-College of Saint Mary Tournament

(Omaha, Nebraska) The Dordt Defenders capped their volleyball weekend with a 3-0 win over Hannibal LaGrange (Missouri) with a 25-18, 25-23, 25-15 win to move to 9-0 for the season.

Dordt swept their fourth opponent of the weekend with Jana Van Zanten (Freshman; Pella, Iowa) banging down 13 kills and digging up 13. Kendra Potgeter (Junior; Byron Center, Michigan) compiled 11 and had six block assists. Loy Griess (Freshman; Sutton, Nebraska) put down five kills and April Solsma (Sophomore; Sanborn, Iowa) contributed with six.

Jessica De Stigter (Sophomore; Sioux Center, Iowa) and Cassie Huizenga (Senior; Orange City, Iowa) were good for 16 and 14 assists respectively while Dorinda Hibma (Junior; Sioux Center, Iowa) had 22 digs and DeStigter 12. Betsy Van't Hul (Senior; Sanborn, Iowa and Brittany Landegent (Freshman; Alvord, Iowa) had four block assists each.

Dordt will play its' first conference match of the season on Wednesday, September 12 at Sioux Falls and will meet Northwestern on Saturday, September 9 in Orange City for the first of two scheduled meetings between the two.
