(Bellevue, Nebraska) The Dordt College volleyball team earned a 3-1 match win over MidAmerica Nazarene in play at the Bruin Invite hosted by Bellevue University on Friday afternoon, September 25.
The Defenders racked up 60 kills in the win with four players hitting for double digits. Kendra Potgeter had a team high 18 kills with a kill efficiency of .405 while Jana Van Zanten slugged 14 and Loy Griess and Steph Fykstra had 11 and ten respectively.
Cassie Huizenga lofted 29 assists and Jessica DeStigter put up 20. Huizenga also had two ace serves with Amber Weingartner and Brandee Schaap each putting away two aces as well.
Dorinda Hibma had a team high 21 digs and Jessica DeStigter had 16 digs. Potgeter and Brittany Landegent each had five assisted blocks.
Dordt is now 13-4 overall while MidAmerica Nazarene falls to 11-5. Dordt faces Georgetown (Kentucky) later tonight.
