Dordt College Volleyball vs. Tabor-College of Saint Mary Tournament

(Omaha, Nebraska) Dordt College claimed a 3-0 match win over Tabor (Kansas) this afternoon at the College of Saint Mary Classic in Omaha, Nebraska. For the third match in a row at the weekend event the Defenders turned away the oppoenent by a relatively wide margin. Dordt claimed sets one and three by 25-13 margins and won set two 25-17.

Kendra Potgeter (Junior; Byron Center, Michigan) had 12 kills and Loy Griess (Freshman; Sutton, Nebraska) added five. Dorinda Hibma (Junior; Sioux Center, Iowa) was the team leader in digs with 10 while Cassie Huizenga (Senior; Orange City, Iowa) had six digs and 16 assists. Jessica De Stigter (Sophomore; Sioux Center, Iowa) assisted on 13 kills. The Defenders were strong at the net on defense with Potgeter getting six assisted blocks and Jana Van Zanten (Freshman; Pella, Iowa) had three solo blocks.

Dordt will face Hannibal LaGrange late this afternoon to complete the weekend.
