(Hastings, Nebraska) Dordt College completed a perfect weekend in Hastings, Nebraska with their fourth match win by a score of 3-0 in the Classic hosted by the Broncos. The Defenders defeated Texas Wesleyan by set scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-23.
Dordt won the first two sets quite handily and had to come from behind to win set three after trailing 20-15.
Dordt was led by Kelsey Van Dyke with a 12 kill performance with six digs, two solo blocks and three assisted blocks. Kendra Potgeter put down 11 kills and Kristin De Ronde had five kills with two solo and six assisted blocks.
Cassie Huizenga was good for 19 assists and Jessica De Stigter 13. Dorinda Hibma had a team high 17 digs and also was a perfect 18-18 in serving.
The Defenders are now 14-2 and will face Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, South Dakota this Tuesday, September 16 in Great Plains Athletic Conference action at 7:30.
