Dordt College Volleyball vs. Midland Lutheran

(Fremont, Nebraska) The Dordt College Defender volleyball team bounced back from a difficult five-set match with the Dana Vikings on Friday night with a one-sided win over Midland Lutheran in Fremont, Nebraska on Saturday afternoon for their 28th win of the season.

Dordt won by set scores of 25-17, 25-4, 25-21 for their 11th win of the GPAC schedule.

Kendra Potgeter had nine kills to pace Dordt while Kristin De Ronde put away eight and Kelsey Van Dyke also had eight with six digs. Jessica De Stigter was good for 18 assists and Cassie Huizenga had 11 while Dorinda Hibma led the team with 19 digs and Brandee Schaap had six. Potgeter was in on one solo and six assisted blocks while April Solsma had one solo and three assists.

Midland Lutheran got six kills from Amanda Hunt and 20 assists by Kalie Heberly in the loss.

Dordt is now 28-5 overall and 11-2 in the GPAC with three regular-season matches remaining. Dordt travels to Dakota Wesleyan on Tuesday, October 28 for a 6:00 junior varsity match and a 7:30 varsity contest.
