Dordt College Volleyball vs. Valley City State-Northwestern Tournament

(Orange City, Iowa) The Dordt College Lady Defenders closed the Northwestern Red Raider Classic with a convincing 3-0 win over Valley City State (North Dakota) on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Defenders went 3-1 in matches this weekend in Orange City. Dordt took game one 30-13, pulled away midway through game two for a 30-16 decision and overcame a two point deficit in game three when they trailed 16-14 on the way to a 30-20 win.
Kristin De Ronde had 11 kills and was in on two blocks. McKinzie Schmidt had 10 kills and Linsdsey Van Wyk had nine kills, one ace serve and eight digs. Emily Van Voorst put up 33 assists and Traci Kooima had 15 digs.
