(Orange City, Iowa) The Dordt College Lady Defenders lost a 3-1 decision in conference volleyball Tuesday night at Northwestern in Orange City.
Northwestern won the first game 30-26. In game one, Dordt's setter, Steph Peuler went down with an injury and didn't return.
Dordt led most of game two and was up 28-25 before Northwestern scored the final five points of the game to take a 2-0 lead with the 30-28 decision.
Game three went to Dordt with a start to finish win of 30-27 and game four was tight with Northwestern pulling away late for a 30-23 win.
The win, Northwestern's first in the series since 1999, was their third in conference play while Dordt dropped to 1-3 in the GPAC and 9-7 overall. Lindsey Van Wyk had 23 kills and 25 digs and Kristin De Ronde had 14 kills while Emily Van Voorst put up 51 assists.
