Dordt College Volleyball vs. St. Mary (NE)-Northwestern Tournament

(Orange City, Iowa) The College of Saint Mary Flames turned in a 3-0 decision over the Dordt College Defender volleyball team on Friday at the Northwestern Red Raider Classic in a clash of top-15 NAIA teams. The the 15th rated Flames pulled away late in games one and two to take control of the match and took the sweep with a convincing 30-19 win over the 11th rated Defenders.
The Defenders were led by Kristin De Ronde with 10 kills and Lindsey Van Wyk with nine. McKinzie Schmidt added five kills while Emily Van Voorst put up 29 assists. Van Wyk and Traci Kooima had 19 and 17 kills respectively.
