Dordt College Volleyball vs. Dakota State-Dordt College Tournament

(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt College Lady Defenders improved to 2-0 in their own tournament on Friday with a 3-0 win over Dakota State 30-15, 30-23, 30-24. The Lady Defenders were paced by Tara De Boer's 20 kills and threee ace serves while Lindsey Van Wyk had 11 kills. Emily Van Voorst had 43 assists and Jill Haan had 18 digs. De Boer was also in on one solo and five assisted blocks.

The win was coach Tom Van Den Bosch's 1000th career victory. Van Den Bosch was on the bench for 709 wins at Western Christian in Hull before taking over the Dordt College head position. Van Den Bosch is credited with 291 coaching wins at Dordt College.
