Dordt College Volleyball vs. Concordia

October 28, 2005

(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt College Lady Defenders made short work of the Concordia Bulldogs Friday night at the De Witt Gyn in Sioux Center. Dordt broke away from a 3-3 tie in game one to lead 24-6 and cruised to the 30-10 win.

Game two was tied at 3-3 as well and remained close to with Dordt holding a 13-9 advanteage for pulling away to a 23-10 lead on the way to a 30-14 verdict. The Lady Defenders then closed out game three 30-13 for the match win.

Dordt College was led by Rachel Van Beek and Lindsey Van Wyk with 11 kills each while Tara De Boer had eight and Jill Haan seven. De Boer also had three ace serves and Emily Van Voorst put up 37 assists. Traci Kooima had digs and four ace serves.

Concordia was led by Katie Werner and Natalie Koopman with six kills each.
