Dordt College Volleyball vs. Doane

(Crete, Nebraska) The Dordt College Lady Defender volleyball team fought off a spirited Doane Tiger team Friday night at Crete, Nebraska. The Tigers came back from a five point deficit late in game one to take a 30-27 win. Game two went to the Lady Defenders as the led start to finish, 30-25. Game three was hotly contested with Dordt pulling away late 30-23. Game three did feature six ties. In game four the Lady Defenders fought off a Doane surge, trailing 20-12 the Tigers fought back to within 22-21 but couldn't close the deal, losing 30-25.

Dordt was led by Tara De Boer's 24 kills. Rachel Van Beek added 17 kills and Lindsey Van Wyk had 14. Emily Van Voorst put up 61 assists and Traci Kooima dug up 35.

Doane was topped by Kari Hochstein's 18 kills.
