Dordt College Volleyball vs. Briar Cliff

(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt College Lady Defenders won their tenth match in a row with a 3-0 Great Plains Athletic Conference decision in Sioux Center on Tuesday night.

The Lady Defenders led start to finish in game one, scoring eight out of nine points to go from 11-9 up to 18-10.

Game two featured three ties with the last one coming at 10-10. The Lady Defenders scored four in a row to go up 14-10 and Briar cliff never got closer than four the rest of the way. Game three saw the Lady Defenders close out the match with convincing 30-14 decision.

The Lady Defenders were led by Tara De Boer with 15 kills while Jill Haan had nine and Lindsey Van Wyk and Kristin De Ronde added eight.

Emily Van Voorst, the GPAC and NAIA Region III setter of the week put up 47 assists while Jill Haan dug up 33 Briar Cliff attacks. De Boer was in on six blocks while Traci Kooima and Steph Helmus each had three ace serves and Kooima 19 digs.

Briar Cliff was led by Renee Beiermann and Kate Person with six kills each.
