(Mitchell, South Dakota) The Dordt College Volleyball opened defense of their Great Plains Athletic Conference crown with a convincing 3-0 win over Dakota Welsayan in Mitchell, South Dakota.

The Lady Defenders had a balanced attack with Rachel Van Beek leading the way with 10 kills and Tara De Boer added nine. Lindsey Van Wyk was solid with four ace serves and seven kills.
