(Lamoni, IA) Dordt College upped their season record to 11-0 with a 3-2 victory on Saturday morning at the Graceland Tournament in Lamoni. Dordt won by the scores of 15-6, 15-6, 9-15, 9-15, and 15-6.
Dordt was led by Darci Bouma’s 19 kills while Karen Netz added 16 in the win for the 21st ranked Lady Defenders. Kim Van Dyken added 64 assists and Janna Van Donge had 24 digs.
The win came in a Gold Bracket quarter-final and the Lady Defenders will now face top ranked and undefeated Columbia of Missouri in the semi-finals. The Cougars ended 1997 as the second ranked team in the country according to the NAIA rankings.
