Dordt College Volleyball vs. Briar Cliff

(Sioux City, Iowa) The Dordt Lady Defender volleyball team turned in convincing 3-0 win over the Briar Cliff Lady Chargers in GPAC volleyball Friday night.

The Lady Defenders overcame a early 8-3 deficit in game one tw take the lead for good at 14-13 on the way to the 30-23 win in game one.

Game two was tied at 17 before the Lady Dfenders scored four points in a row to give the visitors a little breathing room for the win. Game three was all Dordt as they stretched the lead to double digits at 16-6 and were never challenged on the way to the win.

Rachel Pontier led the Dordt attack with 16 kills while Tara De Boer and Lindsey Van Wyk both had 11. Alisa Den Hartog put up 48 assists and De Boer also had three ace serves. Jill Bouma had 24 digs and Tricia Beckering added 11.
