Dordt College Volleyball vs. Doane

(Crete, Nebraska) The tenth-ranked Lady Defenders scored a come-from-behind win over 13th ranked Doane this evening in GPAC conference play. After splitting the first two games of the match, the two teams fought to five consecutive ties in game 3, the last coming at 27-all, before Doane pulled out the win.

Down two games to one, Dordt built up a 25-20 lead in game 4, then watched it slip away before finally getting the win at 32-30 and forcing the decisive fifth game.

The Defenders led game 5 start to finish to get the match victory.

Rachel Van Beek led the Defenders with 23 total kills, including the last three kills of game 5. Tara De Boer and Rachel Pontier added 19 and 15 kills, respectively. Jill Bouma and Megan Groeneweg served up 3 ace serves apiece for Dordt.
