(Sioux Center, IA) The seventh ranked Dordt College volleyball team opened the 1999 season at home tonight with a straight sets win over visiting Dakota State University. The Lady Defenders improved to 1-0 on the season winning by the game scores of 15-5, 15-10, 15-8. Senior captain Kim Van Dyken lofted 46 assists in the win. Junior Karen Netz led the Lady Defenders with 13 kills. Tonight's match was the season opener for the Lady T's of Dakota State now 0-1.
