Dordt College Softball vs. Dakota Wesleyan

(Mitchell, South Dakota) Dordt College bounced back from a loss in game one to beat Dakota Wesleyan 7-0 in game two of the doubleheader in Mitchell, South Dakota.
Samantha Dunn recorded the shutout on the mound while giving up just three hits.
Dordt got two runs in the third inning with Bethany Dykstra clubbing a homerun with two outs for the first run and Erica White followed with a shot to make it 2-0.
Three runs on two hits came in the fourth inning with Dykstra proving two of the runs on a double. The teams then played scoreless ball until the seventh when they scored two runs on just one hit. The hit was a White single that scored Kassidy Van Voorst who was hit by a pitch to start the inning.
Dunn stayed out of trouble by issuing just one walk and struck out one and faced 27 batters, just six over the minimum.
Dordt will host the College of Saint Mary in non-conference softball on Friday in Sioux Center before concluding the conference season against Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday.
Dordt is now 6-12 in the league and 12-26 overall. Wesleyan improves to 8-8 and 17-13.
