Dordt College Softball vs. Concordia (NE)

(Seward, Nebraska) Dordt scored the first run but the host school Concordia scored the next nine on the way to a 9-1, five inning win on Tuesday, April 2 in Seward, Nebraska.
Ashton Beaird clubbed a double that scored Selena Rinehart in the first frame and Concordia went scoreless in the home half of the first frame.
The Bulldogs got the offense going with one run in the second inning without the benefit of a hit and they left the bases loaded as Dordt's Brittany Kooiker worked out of trouble.
After a scoreless third inning the Bulldogs got three in the fourth on two hits and they finished the game with five runs in the fifth inning on two hits and two errors.
Both teams had four hits but Dordt committed a pair of errors that helped lead to three unearned runs.
Dordt's Kassidy Van Voorst, Selena Rinehart and Ashley Van Kooten all had singles and Beaird had a double to account for Dordt's hits. Kooiker took the loss while allowing six earned runs on four hits and walked six.
Concordia's Amanda Beeson struck out five and walked one in getting the win.
