Dordt College Softball vs. Dakota Wesleyan

(Sioux Center, Iowa) Dordt lost a 12-1 decision to Dakota Wesleyan in game two of their doubleheader on Friday, April 26 in GPAC softball.
The Defenders gave up three in the second and on three hits and then added five runs on three hits with two errors in the third inning for an 8-0 lead.
Ashley Van Kooten homered to lead off the third inning for Dordt's only run and after two scoreless innings the Tigers got four runs on two hits and two errors in the sixth inning.
The Defenders stranded ten runners in the contest as they were outhit 9-6 but committed four errors.
Brittany Kooiker took the loss with seven earned runs allowed and she struck out two and walked four. Van Kooten had two of Dordt's six hits.
Wesleyan got two hits each from Hailey Unger and Laura Erickson and Tiffany Sharp knocked in four homeruns and had four runs batted in. Katie Utecht struck out two and walked two and allowed six hits in the win.
Dordt is now 2-16 in the GPAC and 6-31 overall. Dakota Wesleyan improves to 8-20 and 6-8.
