Dordt College Softball vs. Science and Arts of Oklahoma-Sterling Tournament

(Sterling, Kansas) Dordt College was shut-out and no-hit on Friday afternoon against Science and Arts of Oklahoma at the Sterling College Softball Classic held in Hutchinson, Kansas. The Defenders dropped to 0-2 for the day in a follow up to an extra inning loss earlier in the day.
Dordt got a base runner in the first inning when Sarah Seymour worked for a walk and Jocelyn Bousema reached on an error in the third inning. Seymour and Bousema were the only baserunners for the Defenders.
Science and Arts had two runs each in the first, second and third innings and they put up one run each in the fourth and fifth frames for the eight run difference rule to come into affect.
Amanda Nikkel was charged with the loss after allowing ten hits with six runs and two strikeouts. Chelsie Harris had six hits and two runs allowed in an inning and a third of work.
Dordt is now 3-5.
