April 20, 2011

Northwestern scored two in the second, one in the fourth and one in the sixth to stake themselves to a 4-0 lead. Dordt, playing as the guest because the game was scheduled to be played in Orange City but was moved due to a wet field, scored four in the top of the seventh.
Nicole Tate singled with one out and Jocelyn Bousema followed with a single. Katelyn Lockhorst singled to load the bases and Amber Soodsma knocked in a run with a single. A fielder's choice resulted in Bousema getting retired at the plate. Bethany Dykstra would clear the bases with two outs on a double to knot the score. After a scoreless bottom of the seventh Megan Huizenga slugged a homerun for a 5-4 lead.
Dordt couldn't hold the lead as Northwestern got a single to tie the game with two outs and then got a single with the bases loaded to win the game.
