(Babson Park, Florida) Dordt lost a 7-4 decision to Webber International in game two of their game on Monday, March 15. Webber got out to a 5-0 lead before Dordt plated three runs in the third inning when Sarah Seymour reached on an error to score a run with two outs. Jaclyn Ver Mulm knocked in a run with a double and Kassandra Heynen doubled in a run to make it 5-3. Webber got two runs back in the bottom of the inning to establish a 7-3.
Dordt scored one run in the fifth but stranded two with Megan Huizenga knocking in Amber Soodsma. Dordt threatened in the seventh by loading the bases with two outs but left the bases full with a strike out ending the frame.
Dordt out hit the hosts 11-9 with Kassandra Heynen going 4-4 with an rbi on three singles and a double. Megan Huizenga was 3-4 with a run scored and a run batted in. Jaclyn Ver Mulm and Amber Soodsma both had two hits while Sarah Seymour walked twice.
Amber Soodsma took the loss while allowing seven runs on nine hits while striking out three. Three of the runs were earned.
Dordt is now 0-4 and will face Indiana Tech Tuesday afternoon in Clermont, Florida.
