Dordt College Softball vs. Warner

(Lake Wales, Florida) The Dordt softball team lost an early 2-0 lead and fell in their season opener in Florida on Saturday afternoon.

The Defenders got two runs in the first inning with Sarah Seymour clubbing a triple to knock in two runs in the first frame. Warner would strike for a single run in the first, third, and fifth innings to take the 3-2 final and out-hit the Defenders 6-5.

Amber Soodsma had two hits--one of them a triple and she took the loss on the mound while giving up six hits, three runs--all of them earned and she struck out one.
