Dordt College Softball vs. Nebraska Wesleyan

(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt College softball team was unable to overcome 10 errors in the field and lost a 6-3 decision to Nebraska Wesleyan on Thursday despite outhitting the visitors 10-3.

Dordt scored in the first inning when Amber Soodsma delivered an rbi single but the Prairie Wolves got one in the second and two more in the third and never trailed again. Dordt got two back in the home half of the third on a Sarah Seymour triple but Dordt wouldn't score again and surrendered three runs in the sixth for the final of 6-3.

Amber Soodsma took the loss allowing three hits and one earned run in seven innings of work and she struck out seven. Kaitlyn Lockhorst had four hits and two runs scored while Kassandra Heynen and Seymour both had two hits with Heynen delivering a double.
