Dordt College Softball vs. Oklahoma Baptist

(Shawnee, Oklahoma) The Dordt College Defender softball team lost a 9-1, five inning decision to Oklahoma Baptist on Monday afternoon in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

The Defenders surrendered two runs in the first inning and got one run back in the second when Jaclyn Ver Mulm singled with one out. After the second out was recorded the Defenders got a triple from Sarah Visser to score Ver Mulm. The run was the only score Dordt would muster with the hosts scoring three in the third, one in the fourth and three more in the fifth, winning by the eight-run rule in the fifth inning.

Dordt was out hit 14-5 and committed four errors that led to three unearned runs.

Dordt's Amanda Nikkel takes the loss and worked four and a third innings and was charged with all nine runs. She walked one and struck out one. Dorinda Hibma, Megan Huizenga, Sarah Seymour, Ver Mulm and Visser accounted for Dordt's five hits.
