Dordt College Softball vs. Hastings

(Sioux Center, Iowa) Dordt was shut out in game two of their doubleheader with Hastings College on Friday night in Sioux Center by a 6-0 score and dropped to 10-8 in the GPAC with the loss. The losses for Dordt in the doubleheader were their first since an April 1 loss to Morningside.

Hastings scored three in the first inning on a Tara Tobiasson homerun and then got two on a opposite field homerun by Stacey Paladino in the fifth. The Broncos got their final run in the seventh.

Dordt's Amber Soodsma was 2-3 at the plate and Sarah Seymour, Sarah Visser and Amanda Nikkel all had a hit for Dordt. Visser was the losing pitcher while allowing nine hits and six earned runs with two walks and five strikeouts. Paladino was the winner while striking out four.

Dordt is 15-19 overall and 10-8 in the conference while Hastings is 13-3 and 27-9. Hastings leads the GPAC.
