Dordt College Softball vs. Lubbock Christian

(Tucson, Arizona) The Dordt College Defender softball team lost a 4-0 decision to Lubbock Christian (Texas) late Tuesday night in Tucson, Arizona. The Defenders banged out two hits in the loss with Becca Hengeveld and Kassandra Heynen accounting for the two base knocks.

Sarah Visser took the loss, allowing a three run homerun in the fourth and a single run in the sixth. She allowed just seven hits and struck out one.

"Other than the homerun in the fourth and the run given up in the sixth, Sarah pitched very, very well," said Dordt College coach Brian Kroeze.

Dordt is now 3-8 and will face Pima Community (Junior College) and California Baptist on Wednesday, March 19 to conclude their Spring Break trip. Lubbock Christian is now 26-2.
